Women's Harassment Cell

A women's harassment cell is a committee that addresses complaints of sexual harassment and discrimination against women. The cell's goal is to create a safe and supportive environment for women in the college community. 

Purpose 

·      To prevent sexual harassment and discrimination against women

·      To provide a platform for women to file complaints

·      To ensure that the offender is held accountable

·      To protect the rights of victims and witnesses

·      To raise awareness about gender equality

How it works

·      The cell receives complaints in writing or by email 

·      The cell investigates the complaints and resolves them in a timely manner 

·      The cell recommends appropriate action against the offender 

·      The cell ensures that the complainant and witnesses are not victimized 

Legal basis 

·      The cell operates under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act)
